Cove Fort

Cove Fort, Utah was built in 1867 as a way station for the Pony Express and pioneer travelers. Located in the southeast corner of the state, halfway between Filmore and Beaver. Cove Fort is now a popular tourist destination and state park. The fort has been restored and is open to the public. The fort is a great example of early American architecture, and visitors can see how the fort was used by the Mormon settlers. There are also exhibits about the local Native American culture. Cove Fort is a great place to stop and stretch your legs during your travels and learn about Utah's history and culture.

Palasade State Park

Palisade state park is about an hour south of Provo. The park offers camping, fishing, water rentals, OHV riding, family-friendly hiking trails, a junior ranger program, 18 hole golf course, and the Lakeside grill to dine at. We think it would be an excellent place to camp or just spend the day.
