Junior Ranger Program, NPS

What is the National Park Service (NPS) Junior Ranger Program?

The National Park Service Junior Ranger program is an activity-based program that is conducted in almost all parks.

If you can't wait to become a Junior Ranger or want to get excited for your next trip, visit the Junior Ranger Page on each individual National Park's site. There you can find out what booklet that park offers and the associated activities required to receive an official Junior Ranger Badge! Also, consider browsing the many at home activities available to teach children about conservation and the outdoors.

There are currently over 200 Junior Ranger Programs in the National Park Service. In each of these parks, kids interview Rangers, complete games, and answer questions about the park and the National Park Service usually using a specific to location National Park Booklet. After completing a handful activities from the Junior Ranger Booklet, the kids are sworn in as Junior Rangers and receive a special certificate and official Junior Ranger badge unique to each park.

If you're looking for a fun and educational adventure for your kids, look no further than the Junior Ranger Program! This program offers a variety of activities designed to help kids learn about the natural world and their place in it.
